Our regular meetings for WGC members are held on the middle Sunday of every month, in the URC Salem Hall, Main Street, Burley-in-Wharfedale, LS29 7BU. Visitors are always welcome.

These meetings are usually illustrated talks on German-related topics, in German but interspersed with English summaries. They are delivered by outside speakers from various walks of life or by our own members.

Sometimes we have film, quiz or conversation evenings as well as Christmas and summer parties with German specialities and fun activities.

Members arrive from 7.30pm for refreshments and a chat before the meeting, which runs from 8pm until about 9.15pm. Please note that from November to February our meetings run from 3pm until 4.45pm.

Before the main speaker, a volunteer from the WGC gives a 5-minute review of current events in Germany, Austria or Switzerland.
